John Stammers
Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, St. George's University Hospitals and South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre
As part of the arthroplasty team at St George’s and South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre he is experienced managing patients around the region with complex medical and surgical needs. He performs high volume revisions with a special interest in the investigation of painful joint replacements and manages patients with infected joint replacements from around the region and beyond. Mr Stammers completed his surgical apprenticeship in world-class institutions performing high-volume hip and knee replacements. His exposure to complex arthroplasty included rotations at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital at Stanmore, the Royal London and Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospitals. He refined his subspecialised training completing two arthroplasty fellowships: The Barts Elective Orthopaedic Hospital and became the first UK trainee to complete one of the most sought-after operative fellowships in America at the Rothman Institute, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia. This enabled Mr Stammers to work alongside some world-famous leaders in orthopaedic surgery, performing high volume hip and knee surgeries using the latest technologies and techniques.

Bertrand Boyer
Head of the Prosthetic Joint Infection Unit, St. Etienne University Hospital, France
Dr. Boyer is the head of the Prosthetic Joint Infection unit in St Etienne University Hospital.
He completed his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering at St Etienne Mines Engineering School. His main area of expertise is hip and knee revision. St Etienne is the home of Dual Mobility Cup and most of Dr Boyer’s academic research is centered around our pride and joy.
He is looking forward to representing his country in this great society and helping spread the EHS message nationwide.
