Ben is a Senior Associate in DAC Beachcroft's Southampton office. He specialises in defending clinical negligence claims for NHS Trusts, GPs, dentists, and private doctors. Since joining DAC Beachcroft LLP in 2013, he has handled cases involving brain injuries, amputations, delayed cancer diagnoses, and mental health claims on behalf of NHS Resolution, the Medical and Dental Defence Union and medical malpractice insurers.
Ben also conducts seminars for medical practitioners to assist with learning from claims and patient safety issues. His talks focus on helping practitioners understand the legal process, consent issues and, more recently, the advent of AI and the implications it has from a legal perspective in terms of providing healthcare.
Ben has served as interim Head of Litigation for NHS Trust clients during transitions. Previously, he represented claimants in clinical negligence cases, giving him a comprehensive perspective in this field.
