Peter Harris is the Director of Research Science at NielsenIQ, where he leads a global team of Artificial Intelligence researchers. NielsenIQ is a multinational company dedicated to understanding consumer behaviour worldwide. In addition to his role at NielsenIQ, Peter serves as an AI consultant for the NHS, leveraging advanced AI techniques to predict medical conditions from x-rays before they are visible to the human eye. His expertise spans several cutting-edge domains, including Natural Language Processing, Image Classification, Graph Neural Networks, and Generative AI (in collaboration with Microsoft).
Consultant hip and knee surgeon, SWLEOC London
Mr. Vipin Asopa PhD FRCS (Tr & Orth) is a consultant hip and knee surgeon based at the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre. He has completed a PhD in Articular Cartilage Biology at the Kennedy Institute, before completing his higher orthopaedic surgical training in North West London and fellowship training at Sportsmed.SA, Adelaide and The Royal Berkshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He has received Orthopaedic Research UK funding to investigate the optimal conditions for harvesting stem-cells from adipose tissue. Additionally, Mr. Asopa is a Python coder and primary investigator for a study titled, ‘The use of Machine Learning in the early detection of failing total hip replacements.’. This is a project that is also being supported by ORUK.Dr. Daniele De Massari is a Senior Manager of AI Research at Stryker, with over a decade of experience in data science. He leads a team of data scientists and computer vision engineers, ensuring the successful delivery of advanced digital solutions. Previously, he served as a Senior Data Scientist at both Stryker and Philips Research, where he designed predictive models and established data science teams. His expertise includes machine learning, deep learning, and predictive analytics, with strong skills in stakeholder management and data-driven insights.
Dr. De Massari holds a PhD in Neuroscience from the Graduate School of Neural & Behavioural Sciences, International Max Planck Research School, and a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Università degli Studi di Padova.
