Royal Osteoporosis Society petition to Secretary of State
The Royal Osteoporosis Society (ROS) is campaigning with the Sunday Express to end the postcode lottery for fracture liaison services (FLS). Supported by Age UK, the campaign is based around a petition to the Secretary of State for Health and Social care (see link below). ROS is keen for the BOA, its members and other partner organisations to support this campaign.
The BOA Trauma Committee has supported this call for universal access to FLS and the BOA supported the ROS/All Party Parliamentary Group on Osteoporosis and Bone Health’s 2021 inquiry report on FLS.
The petition will be printed in the Sunday Express as part of the campaign to secure £30million per year to ensure 100% population coverage and quality of FLS.
