This national falls summit focuses on reducing inpatient falls, and harm from inpatient falls. Through national updates, practical case studies and learning from the National Audit of Inpatient Falls report. The conference will provide a step by step guide to implementing the multiple interventions that have been proven to reduce falls in your service. The conference will also focus on Gaining Insight from Inpatient Falls (GIIF) and linking with the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework.

This one day paediatric trauma course is designed for junior registrars (ST3-5) and involves interactive lectures and hands on practical sessions. The morning consists of interactive case based discussions covering the breadth of paediatric trauma. In the afternoon you will rotate through practical stations including; K wiring of supracondylar fractures, flexible IM nailing, hip spica application, and techniques for ankle fracture fixation including triplane fractures.

We are delighted to announce the inaugural BAJIS 2024 Meeting. The UK Bone and Joint Infection Society (BAJIS) has been born out of the popular UKPJI meeting series which started in 2019. As interest has grown there was enthusiasm to form a society for the full MDT involved in managing orthopaedic infection. And so at the UKPJI meeting in Exeter in June 2023, BAJIS was created.

This event will be a comprehensive instructional meeting designed to address the need for education and revalidation for clinicians managing ankle arthritis. The agenda will include supramalleolar osteotomy indications and techniques, decision making in end stage ankle arthritis, primary and revision ankle arthrodesis, primary and revision total ankle arthroplasty, management of complications including prosthetic joint infection and case based discussion with faculty

The AO Recon Course—Complex Total Hip and Knee Arthroplasty teaches current concepts in the treatment of patients with a need for revision or complex primary arthroplasty of the hip and knee. This course is targeted at certified, experienced orthopedic surgeons who wish to enhance their knowledge and skills in complex arthroplasty.

A Joint British Association of Day Surgery & HCUK Virtual Conference The presence of dedicated, knowledgeable, multi-skilled day surgery practitioners (the day surgery team) is essential in ensuring safe and efficient day surgery service delivery with the best patient experience. This one-day virtual conference aims to provide support for day surgery teams in achieving these goals. Good clinical practice, accompanied by explanation of underlying principles, at each stage of the day surgery pathway will be reviewed, along with discussion of when it is acceptable to question traditional practice, how the day surgery team can contribute to successful development of new day surgery pathways and inform development and innovation of multi-skilling within the day surgery process.
