COVID-19 and Wellbeing
The wellbeing of our members and wider colleagues is an important issue for the BOA at this difficult time. In December 2020 we held a webinar, and this can be watched again below.
The participants in the webinar have now kindly provided either a short slideset or write-up, to provide some useful nuggets of ideas for others to use. These resources can be accessed below.
Wellbeing Resources
The BOA is very aware that the COVID-19 situation can cause stress and anxiety for health professionals. We would like to highlight to all members that the following resources are available to support frontline health professionals, and encourage you to take up these services if you feel the need:
- Frontline19 (Frontline19 is a FREE independent, confidential and UK based nationwide service delivering psychological support to people working on the frontline).
- https://people.nhs.uk/help (A phoneline is available 7am-11pm, seven days a week, and text service available 24/7).
Benevolent Fund
The Benevolent Fund exists to relieve poverty among members of the Association, their widows and their children and to assist in the education of such children. The Fund is therefore intended to meet the needs of our members and their families who find themselves in distressed circumstances. Please visit our page here for further information.
